GALLO SIGNS WITH NATIONALS

08/09 North Shore Navigator Mike Gallo has signed a Free Agent Contract with the Washington Nationals. Gallo will report to the Nationals, Orlando affiliate of the Gulf Coast Rookie League.

BIG DAY FOR NAVS - Past and Present

5 former and current North Shore Navigators were selected in the 2010 MLB Draft.

From the 2009 Navs squad, the following player were selected:

Kevin Chapman - 4th Round, Kansas City Royals, (U.Florida)

Matt Lewis - 10th Round, Seattle Mariners (UC Davis)

Jason Markovitz - 15th Round, Seattle Mariners (Long Beach State)

Pat Brady - 48th Round, Seattle Mariners (Bellarmine College)

From the current 2010 squad, Ben Waldrip of Medford, Mass. and Cypress JC of Los Angeles, was selected in the 42nd Round by the Atlanta Braves.

Markovitz goes to Seattle with 402nd Pick

Jason Markovitz of the 08 & 09 Navs, and Long Beach State was selected in the 2010 MLB Draft with the 402nd Pick by the Seattle Mariners.

MATT LEWIS goes to ATLANTA in ROUND 10

09 NAV, Matt Lewis was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 10th round of the MLB Draft

CHAPMAN GOES in 4th ROUND TO KANSAS CITY

On the second day of the 2010 MLB Draft, former Navigator (09) Kevin Chapman was selected in the 4th round by the Kansas City Royals. Chapman and his Florida Gators are currently preparing for the NCAA Super Regionals.
